Christmas Fair

Our annual Christmas celebration and fundraiser is almost upon us! Once again we are having our fair and ‘singing round the tree’ event in partnership with the Village Preservation Society on Tuesday 6th December. There will also be the lighting of the second East Bierley Village festive street light which was once again designed by one of our children.

4:45 – 6:45pm: Christmas fair in school

Visit Santa in his grotto from 4:45pm
Pie & Peas (£2.50) or Hot Dogs (£1.50) must be ordered and paid for in advance, at the school office. Deadline for ordering is 9am on Monday 5th December.
We will also have our grand raffle, stalls and games.

6:45 – Singing round the tree on the village green

At 6:45 everyone will move across to the village green for music by Drighlington Brass Band and traditional carols.

Please note that this is a family event, and parents and carers will be responsible for their children throughout the evening.

Donations and Fundraising

To make our fair a success, we would like to ask for your help in donating items for our raffle and soft toy tombola. Donations are welcome as soon as possible.

We will also be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 2nd December, when we will be asking for donations of chocolate from Reception class and Key Stage One children for our chocolate tombola, and donations of bottles from parents of Key Stage Two children for our bottle tombola stall. Please however also feel free to bring items into school at any time.

You should have received a book of raffle tickets (£1 per ticket, £5 per book) which we would be grateful if you could sell. Please ask for more if you need them! You should also have received an envelope you may make a donation of a £1 coin towards our first prize which is £100, the “Crock of Gold”!

Thank you for your support, we look forward to seeing you there.
