Our governors are made up from a cross-section of the community, including parents, staff, church members and local business people. Governors provide an invaluable service to the school, giving up their time for free. Across the country school governors make up the largest volunteer force in the UK.
Governors at East Bierley CE (VC) Primary School work very hard to ensure our school is the best it can be. They work tirelessly to ensure we meet the needs of our children and meet the statutory duties for primary schools.
Governors have quickly gained an accurate view of what is working well and what could be better still, and are fully committed to the success of the school. Through regular visits, they assure themselves that pupils are well cared for, safe and now achieving well. They offer a healthy balance of challenge and support to [the headteacher] and [her team].
Ofsted, March 2018.
If you wish to contact our Governors, this should be done in writing addressed to the Chair of Governors, Mr T Preece and passed to the school office.
School's are required to publish details about their governors and their attendance record at meetings. Please see the files below for full details of our governors.
