Spring Term 2

Welcome back, Year 5.

I hope that you have enjoyed your holiday and that the rest has prepared you for more learning.

In topic this half term, we will be learning about the different properties of materials and how they can change including investigating how this happens. In our English lessons, we are going to improve our narrative writing abilities as well as writing and possibly performing a script! In Maths, we will begin to look at percentages as well as fractions and shape.

PE days will stay the same, Monday with Mrs Divine, Tuesdays with myself and enrichment on a Wednesday morning.

We will continue to develop our clarinet skills on a Friday so please ensure that your clarinet is in school for this day.

TTRockstars, MyMaths and SpellingShed homework will be set on a Thursday with a week to complete it. Please make sure it is completed, as it will follow on from our learning in the classroom that week.

We still have lots of learning to do, let’s keep it up!
