A huge well done to the many children who have completed some work / games on Mymaths, TTRockstars and Spelling Shed during the break. Little and often really does make a difference so it is great to see this commitment! Teacher set some work on them but you can always do more than is set – we can see when you have. Five minutes every day makes such a difference and it is important to get timetable times up as they impact on so many areas of maths.
If you are not sure how to access additional work for consolidation on Mymaths, please speak to your class teacher. Children completing studio games on TTRockstars every day will soon increase their speed. For the year 4 times tables check each question will disappear after 5 seconds so children need to be confident. We know the timer can seem daunting initially but encourage children to use a multiplication grid as they do it to start with and then aim to beat their own personal score in the time. This is a good way of learning tables.
As always, if you do not have access to the internet at home, please speak to your child’s class teacher so time can be given to completing tasks set in school.
