Reading

Reading is given high priority at East Bierley and we believe it is the key to all other learning. We are truly passionate about developing every child’s love for reading and ensuring that they become confident and fluent readers. We aim to offer children a rich variety of fiction and non-fiction texts and expose children to the many wonderful authors and books that they may not have discovered yet. Children see adults at East Bierley as readers too and this encourages lots of book talk throughout school! If you would like to have books or authors recommended for your child, please speak with your child's class teacher, Mrs Meek or Mrs Clark.
