We teach lessons that cover mindfulness, solving problems, strong emotions, life changes, friends and family, being the same and being different and feeling good about being me. We includes lessons from the Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning programme (SEAL) and respond to the needs for our individual classes and children. We have a focus on our school core values and encourage children to develop skills of resilience, develop their grit and a positive attitude towards working hard towards a goal they have. We teach children to fall out well and understand that it is natural to fall out with people.

We timetable lessons and build them into our whole curriculum as they are embedded within our core values and our school vision.

We often use picture books as a way to develop understanding. Below are some of the picture books we use in school within PSHE lessons or with children when the need arises.
